Learn How EfM Works and if it is Right For You
The Education for Ministry program believes our relationship to God matters and is a means of living in a complete world with faith, home, and love. We believe in creating space for curiosity, community and looking at life through the lens of relationship to God. We believe that that lens through which deepen our relationship with God can be sharpened by specific practices. We call the EfM’s Core Practices: Living in Community, Regular Prayer & Worship, Theological Reflection, Study of Christian Tradition, and Vocational Discernment.
More and more, people need safe places to learn, grow, and wonder about God — especially if their views differ from others. But these places don’t create themselves. EfM uses these practices to guide us in making small, trusted communities, which we call seminars, where authentic interaction can happen.
New groups begin this fall. Submit this form and one of our seminar mentors will reach out to you with more information about costs, books, online and in-person groups and more.
Education for Ministry is a program designed for laypeople and founded and administered by The School of Theology, University of the South, in Sewanee, Tennessee.
